For as long as I can remember, I will not turn off the lights in my bedroom and get into bed if the closet door is open. Even by a crack. I have to make sure the latch is secure. Bogeymen can not undo latches but they can slip through cracks. So there you go.
To my surprise, I apparently no longer believe this. I have looked at the slightly open closet door several times in the past week and the only thought in my mind was, I can’t be bothered.
Exhaustion has it’s benefits. Good to know.
